Today the girls and I, along with their friend, attempted and succeeded at making jellybean topiaries. However, it took soooooo long and was painful. The toothpicks were tough to push in and then you would jab yourself against already placed toothpicks while trying to put another in. There were bandaids and tears. All for a craft! Note the pliers in the background - you know it's serious when big people tools are called into action.
But....they turned out really cute. Good thing I don't like jellybeans or else this would be tough to walk by everyday.

Finally an oven...
So, after about a year of not having a working oven, we finally replaced the broken one. What a sight to behold. It took Mark and I long time to decide - stay with white? Nah. So then what? Black? Stainless? I worried a lot about fingerprints with the stainless. Guess what? The black shows lots of marks too. We will just be polishing a lot.
The new oven is getting a workout! Tonight I made a delicious breakfast casserole. I got the recipe from my friend Tiara. It is the best and EASIEST recipe I've ever made!
Here's the recipe:
5 cups frozen hashbrowns
10 eggs
1 cup cottage cheese
2 cups colby cheese
1 package of sausage
Cook sausage til crumbly on stove. Mix all ingredients together except save out 1/2 cup shredded cheddar for top of casserole. Place in a 9x13 casserole dish. At this point you can put it directly in the oven or place it in the fridge for cooking at a later time. Cook at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
We usually eat this for dinner - not breakfast. I like to serve it with fruit - a can of peaches or strawberries and oranges mixed together. Enjoy!
